WOW TBC: Tank Abuse
Jul-20-2022 PSTThere will be lots of opinions on this post , but if disagree with me, continue doing and asking yourself why there are no pet tanks for your pug.
The reason you're experiencing difficulty finding tankers isn't due to the lack of tanks but rather that they do not wish to be a tanker for you due to the abuse they suffer. The abuse doesn't just consist of verbal abuse, or blaming them when problems occur, but there are numerous other forms of abuse that can make the tank regret having accepted to tank for you.
The most damaging would be the dps who take the extra mile to make the task of tanks more difficult. This could include things like pet dps that send their pets out to fight mobs before they even gets to the tank mage aoeing mobs prior to when they even get to tanks, any DPS attempting to attack mobs while tanks are trying to pull back pull, and not targeting the tank's the target, not paying attention to tanks marks in the attack orders, and so on. All of these contribute to making the tank's job more difficult.
There are many other things I could mention, but I think you'll have the concept. Any doctor who lets others to practice this kind of practice isn't much more effective. If you're not an integral part of the solution, you are contributing to the issue.
I definitely understand your point of view. There's a lot of demand on tanks for them to be aware of what they're doing and a lot of times people will have unrealistic expectations of perfect or perhaps their notion of what tanking is may be completely wrong.
Personally, I almost always insist on creating my own groups, particularly when I'm in a slump and I refuse to allow idiots to play. If someone is being stupid (not just being dumb and making ridiculous mistakes but actually jerks about it) I'll let the mobs take them down and then dismiss them as soon as they attempt to fight over it.
One of the biggest issues in tanks, and the majority of players to be honest it is the feeling as though they must interact with others. I believe that a large portion of this feeling of being abused stems from the fact that people be forced to join groups where expectations are excessive and, in many instances, that are based on incorrect information. I think that the community would be better off If more people were to create their own groups, and get rid of the embarrassing unsecure, insecure min/maxing mentality.
I'll continue to be a part of other groups from time-to-time since I'm not always feeling up to speed time However, in general my experience with group activities is very comfortable and enjoyable because I don't gear-check or prevent certain groups from participating in my group. I've never had issues due to this (when I have, it's usually because I'm lacking CC) and, most times, the members I invite along are having a blast too. It's not to appear like a tank-elitist but the DPS and, in a small amount healers, in general are beggars, not pickers. It's particularly important for players to understand an understanding that they're replaceable and they must demonstrate respect and patience even when things don't go as they would like. If someone is a toxic person and they want to conflict with you, do not quit the group. Get them to drop kick their a$$ out and take them back!
I highly recommend that you try to form your own groups or loosening the rules for groupings. This worked amazingly for me. And best WOW TBC Classic Gold C2C Online Shop is P2Pah.com. Go to now.
