Skull And Bones: How To Get Steel Ingot
Feb-26-2025 PSTGetting the blueprints for certain items might be one of the difficult tasks in Skull And Bones, but it only gets harder when you have to procure the resources required to craft these cheap Skull and Bones items. The resources in this game are divided into different rarities, and you can find them only at certain places.
Steel Ingot or Pure Iron are two of the common resources in the game, but you still might not be able to get these Skull and Bones items early on since the area they're found in is quite high level.
Where To Find Steel Ingot
If you want to get some Steel Ingot for yourself, you'll have to venture over to the East Indies area on the northeast side of the map. You can see this area on your map when you zoom it all the way out. However, you'll have to cross the Open Seas to get there, which is an area filled with storms and high tides. You'll have to pay full attention if you want to navigate around these.
Once you find the first set of islands in the East Indies, you'll be able to find ships from both the Dutch Merchant Company and the Dominion Of Rempah. Here's how you can get Steel Ingots in the areas covered by these factions:
You can find various Pure Iron veins on the shoreline of the first islands on the western side of the East Indies. You can mark their exact location through the codex, and you can refine Pure Iron into Steel Ingots at the refinery. However, you might not always find these deposits at the location since they're shared with other players.
A faster to acquire Pure Iron or Steel Ingots is by locating gathering or merchant ships respectively. Gathering ships carrying this item can be found near the deposits while the merchant ships can be found on trade routes that involve Steel Ingot.
Finally, the best way to get Steel Ingots once you're high enough level is by raiding and plundering foundries making these. You can find these scattered all across the East Indies, and you can even hop servers to plunder the same Foundry over and over.
Another thing to keep in mind is that it's quite common to find Privateer ships in these parts. Unlike Rempah or Dutch ships, Privateers will start attacking you on sight, and they're also quite hard to deal with.
