Lucky Diablo 4: Player Shows Off 'Insane' Mythic Drop

Aug-30-2024 PST

A Diablo 4 player recently obtained the unique item Harlequin Crest with all four greater affixes, one of the rarest loots available in Blizzard's ARPG. While looting an uber unique in Diablo 4 is already an impressive feat, getting it with all four greater affixes is extremely rare, highlighting the excitement and challenges of endgame loot hunting.

After reaching level 100, one of the main goals in Diablo 4 is to collect the best equipment to run nightmare dungeons and defeat the most challenging foes. Each item can have up to four greater affixes, which improve the default power of any piece of gear. The rarest tier of cheap Diablo 4 items are called uniques and are sought after for their unmatched powerful bonuses. The release of Diablo 4 Season 5 came with a rework for unique items, changing the attributes of some of them to adjust the overall balance of the game. The Harlequin Crest, also known as "Shako," is one of these unique items and one of the best pieces of gear available in Diablo 4.

A Diablo 4 player known as Rickymayhem13 on Reddit shared a screenshot of their latest loot: a Harlequin Crest with all four greater affixes. Unique items like this are incredibly rare drops, with the Harlequin Crest being one of the most elusive Diablo 4 items. The four greater affixes of this Shako boost the player's armor, maximum life, and maximum resource, and provide a +30% cooldown reduction. On top of these bonuses, the Harlequin Crest grants 20% damage reduction and +4 ranks to all skills, making it a viable item for all Diablo 4 classes.

Diablo 4 Player Gets One of the Rarest Items

Reactions to the Reddit post have been a mix of awe and envy, with many players congratulating Rickymayhem13, while others express their disbelief at such a fortunate drop. Some players shared their own experiences of trying to get the rarest items in Diablo 4, with those lucky enough to find a Harlequin Crest not getting more than one or two greater affixes on it.

Players who didn't manage to get their favorite unique item with four greater affixes might have more luck with the upcoming release of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred. This expansion will introduce a region named Nahantu, a new Spiritborn class, additional endgame activities, and a campaign following Neyrelle's journey across Sanctuary after the events of the main story of Diablo 4. Completing these new activities should provide players with new Diablo 4 items to collect, even though Blizzard hasn't yet revealed the exact details of the gear players will need to obtain.
